Description
The New Jerusalem summarizes the main teachings contained in the theological writings of Swedenborg, and forms an excellent introduction to them. Swedenborg in his introduction to the book says that the doctrine ‘is for the New Church, which, because it has been revealed to me from heaven, is called Heavenly Doctrine. To deliver that doctrine is the purpose of the present work’. This attractive 1990 paperback edition is translated by John Chadwick with a translator’s preface.
Nb. The chapters comprising solely of references to Arcana Caelestia are not included in this edition. For those, please buy Tafel’s translation.
