Swedenborg selects a series of quotations and abstracts from the philosopher Christian Wolff, the historian and statesman Scipio Dupleix, and the theologian Robert Baron, using them as a springboard to define and discuss several philosophical terms such as ‘form’, ‘matter’, and ‘essence’. This volume features a Preface by the translator, Biographical Notes on Dupleix and Baron, Notes by the Translator, and an Index.
