Inner Eye Productions, in association with The Swedenborg Society, are delighted to present rare, live performances of The Marriage of Heaven and Hell by William Blake.
As an artist, poet, engraver, mystic and fierce critic of societal mores and organized religion, Blake has captivated and inspired artists and radical thinkers for centuries. The Marriage of Heaven and Hell is possibly the most influential and subversive of his earlier works: part satire, part anti-establishmentarian polemic, part intense celebration of the ‘contraries’ that make up human existence–a stunning piece still relevant to audiences today.
