Quick Chat With an Author: Glennyce Eckersley
Q. What trait do you most admire in Swedenborg? A. His ability to bridge the world of science and spirituality.
If Swedenborg were alive today I would...I would be checking out his website and e-mailing him, asking him many questions, and I would be reading his books in English and listening to him on radio and television.
Heaven or Hell? Do I have a choice? Heaven of course, every time. I believe however, that both are within us, along with our inner angel.
The Inspiration for writing Angels, Believe and Receive was...I was inspired to write it after reading so many letters from people around the world, asking for advice. So many areas in modern life generate stress and pressure. People were struggling and wanting to know how angels might help. Also, I had read so much in the media about 'cosmic ordering' that I felt obliged to point out that this was in fact not a new notion. Humans had always asked and received help from a higher source. Jesus said thousands of years ago "Ask and it shall be given unto you".
How would you like Swedenborg to be remembered? I would most like him to be remembered as the ultimate angel expert and a man of ideas.
