The Swedenborg Society welcomes applications for its Artist in Residence programme. Submissions/proposals can be submitted all yearround, and each applicant will be considered entirely on the grounds ofthe application and the work proposed. The duration of each residency will depend, in turn, upon the content and nature of the proposal.
Each artist will have at their disposal access to the Society's unique Library and archive, and when not in use, access to theSociety's main Hall and other function rooms. At the end of each residency an exhibition or presentation of work will be held at Swedenborg house, accompanied with a small publication.
Because the residency is very much in its infancy funding is limited. Applicants will either need to be based in London or be in aposition to travel to London. The residency programme is especially suitable for artists working with text, archival material, film, andperformance.
Recent examples of work produced on the artist residency can be seen via the links to the left. For information regarding applications contact Stephen McNeilly at stephen@swedenborg.org.uk
